ABOUT US
We exist for people who need our support, a safe place or other forms of aid during turbulent times in their lives. We do this by helping individuals escaping conflict or dealing with overwhelming emergencies (both domestic and international) and in offering support to local community groups and other charities in South West London.
Our core team initially formed to support NHS Critical Care Staff who were working extremely long hours with limited access to food and provisions as supermarkets were bare and hospital canteens and food outlets were closed.
Today we continue to provide food to where it is needed most – including community kitchens, shelters which care for the vulnerable and victims of domestic violence, refugees and families in need. Working in partnership with the Felix Project and Fareshare we have set up as a SW Food Hub, aiming to promote food-waste reduction by diverting supermarket/shop food surplus to provide relief to people suffering financial hardship in South West London.
More recently, working in partnership with Lambeth and Wandsworth Council, we have set up a 13-bed property in SW London, which has helped settle 26 Ukrainian families fleeing the war.
The funds raised by individual donations and sponsors to date has helped us deliver in excess of 520,000 meals and has provided a lifeline to many.
