HOMELESSNESS
Homelessness is on the increase and is set to get worse in the current economic climate. During lockdown many homeless people were placed in temporary accommodation, but now that restrictions have eased, many are once again sleeping rough. Others may not be sleeping on the streets, but have found themselves facing eviction or are already ‘sofa surfing’, living with friends or in hostels, but with no fixed abode and very little financial resource.
We are pleased that we have been in a position to divert some of the funds raised to help support food banks and soup kitchens in our local communities. Their need for your ongoing support is critical.
