SUPPORT FOR THE  VULNERABLE

Vulnerable groups fall into a number of categories with varied circumstances and needs, but a growing number are desperate for additional support following lockdown:

More and more families are living on or below the breadline as many people have been made redundant or have lost their livelihoods due to lockdown, suffering unexpected hardship.

Refugees and asylum seekers are often unable to work, and therefore have little or no form of income, with language barriers and PTSD a common thread.

Women can be particularly vulnerable, struggling with single parenting, fleeing domestic violence or both.

Elderly people in our communities may be suffering from prolonged loneliness, financial constraints, mental health issues, physical health problems and/or mobility restrictions.
